Held along the Oklahoma River, this annual event showcases rowing, kayaking, and dragon boat racing. It’s a great way to experience the excitement of water sports while enjoying live music and food trucks.

2. Oktoberfest Celebrations

Several places in Oklahoma City, such as Fassler Hall or local breweries, host Oktoberfest events. Enjoy traditional German food, beer, live music, and festive activities in the autumn atmosphere.

3. Haunt the Zoo

The Oklahoma City Zoo hosts this family-friendly event with trick-or-treating, themed decorations, and fun activities for all ages. It's a great way to experience Halloween in a safe environment.

4. Pumpkinville at Myriad Botanical Gardens

This fall festival features hundreds of pumpkins, hay mazes, games, crafts, and seasonal treats. The gardens are transformed into a magical autumn landscape, perfect for families and those who enjoy outdoor activities.

5. Plaza District Festival

In mid-October, the Plaza District hosts a festival celebrating local artists, musicians, and food vendors. It's a vibrant event where you can enjoy street performances, art installations, and food trucks.

6. Frontier City Fright Fest

Frontier City, a Western-themed amusement park, goes all out for Halloween with haunted attractions, live shows, and spooky rides. It’s a fun way to get your thrills and scares in a family-friendly setting.

7. National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum

October is a great time to visit the museum and explore its rich collection of Western art and artifacts. The cooler weather makes it an ideal time to explore both the indoor and outdoor exhibits.

8. H&8th Night Market

If it’s still running, this food truck festival in Midtown typically happens on Friday nights in the fall, offering a variety of street food and live entertainment.

9. Scissortail Park Fall Concerts and Markets

Scissortail Park often hosts live music and farmers markets in October. With its scenic lake and walking trails, the park is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy a concert, or explore the local vendors selling handmade goods and produce.
